6: Lambert chests down Nathaniel Clyne's cross before hitting a fairly tame shot straight at Maarten Stekelenburg.

20: GOAL! Saints take the lead as a corner is flicked on to Lambert who nods in at the back post. 1-0! 

21: Saints nearly get another! Jay Rodriguez skips away from multiple challenges before his effort is palmed wide by Stekelenburg.

26: In Fulham's first threatening attack of the game, Kieran Richardson charges forward before whipping in a cross that Artur Boruc comfortably catches as Dimitar Berbatov lurks. 

32: Rodriguez meets Luke Shaw's cross with a wayward header that fails to trouble the Fulham goal as it bounces wide. 

35: Lambert skips inside from the left flank before firing a low shot from 20 yards that cannons off the post! 

38: Lamert nearly scores again! The striker meets Schneiderlin's cross at the back post with a header that Stekelenburg palms away. 

42: GOAL! Lambert nods Lallana's cross past the face of goal for Rodriguez to head in at the back post. 2-0! 

HALF-TIME: SOUTHAMPTON 2-0 FULHAM


46: Fulham get the second half started! Aaron Hughes has replaced Sascha Riether for the visitors. 

46: An attack inside the first minute of the second period from Saints sees Shaw's cross directed well wide by Lambert, who failed to make the desired contact.

49: James Ward-Prowse curls a cross in for Wanyama to head off-target.

59: A powerful corner is flicked into the path of Dejan Lovren who is taken by surprise and can't direct a header towards goal.

68: Rodriguez charges into the box from the right wing but his attempted lay-off to Lallana is intercepted. 

69: So close to a stunning goal! Rodriguez meets Ward-Prowse's cross with a sweetly-struck acrobatic volley that flies inches wide. What a goal that would have been! 

74: Hugo Rodallega replaces Darren Bent for Fulham.

78: do Prado replaces Rodriguez, who comes off to a well-deserved standing ovation!

89: Lallana bursts into the 18-yard box and hits a shot with the outside of his foot that ricochets off Hughes and soars just over the crossbar.
