Southampton Football Club would like to thank our fans for their excellent support during yesterday's final game of the season and throughout the 2012-13 campaign.
Practically every home supporter stayed behind after seeing Saints draw with Stoke City to watch as the players took part in a lap of appreciation around the St Mary's pitch.
As well as players and backroom staff from the First Team, members of the club's office staff also took part in the lap of honour, throwing T-shirts into the crowd.
We also showed our appreciation for our supporters by using our big screens and pitchside LED boards to thank selected Season Ticket Holders and Twitter users who told us that they'd be at the game.
The club finishes the season with an average attendance at St Mary's of 30,874, compared to 26,419 last season.
Since the start of 2013, only one of our Premier League home games has not sold out in general seating areas and there were also sell-outs against Manchester United and Spurs before Christmas.
We hope you all have a fantastic summer and, if you fancy more of the same at St Mary's next season, we'll be releasing details of 2013-14 Season Tickets this Wednesday!
