Free Entry For United Visit

Our Under-21s are on the charge – and you can watch them face Manchester United at St Mary's next week for FREE.

We're opening our doors for the U21s’ penultimate National Group Stage match on Monday evening, with Martin Hunter’s side now within touching distance of qualifying for the Elite Group Stage.

The two best-placed teams in National Group 2 will spend the second half of the season competing with the most-successful development sides from the other two National Groups.

Our U21s currently sit fourth in their seven-team group, but finish in the top three if they beat United on Monday and then defeat Newcastle a fortnight later.

And, if Saints do finish third, they will progress into the Elite Group Stage if they have a better National Group record than the team that ends up third in Group 3.

Our previous four home fixtures have taken place behind closed doors at the Club’s Staplewood training ground, but our final two are open to fans.

Clubs participating in the Barclays U21 Premier League must play at least two games per season at their first-team stadium, with the visit of second-placed United providing our Development Squad with their first St Mary’s fixture of the campaign.

Free-of-charge admission for Monday’s game is via the Itchen North turnstiles, which open at 6pm ahead of a 7pm kick-off time.

Furthermore, as announced last week, our new partnership with local Blue Square Bet South side Eastleigh will see our home games in the second half of the season staged at the Silverlake Stadium.

The first of those will be the crucial visit of Newcastle United on Monday 17th December (7pm), with more details on that fixture to be announced soon.

So make sure you give our youngsters your backing as they look to ensure they take up their place among the best development sides in the country for the second half of the season.
