New Saints Shirt Brings Massive Turnout

By SFC Media time Sun 01 Jul Club

Saints fans headed to our WestQuay store in their droves today to snap up the newly-released 2012/13 home kit.

Having already been available to pre-order via our online shop from Saturday morning, the WestQuay Saints Store became the first place to get your hands on the new shirt.

And supporters certainly did not miss their opportunity to pick up their kits at the first time of asking, with hundreds of fans queueing outside the store long before its 11am opening time.

The Saints Store was adorned by artwork showing stars such as Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and new signing Jay Rodriguez decked out in their new Umbro-designed outfits.

Once 11am did arrive, fans young-and-old rushed to snap up their new home kits as well as other items such as 2012/13 teamwear and the brand-new DVD of our Championship promotion season.

The two-disc compilation includes all the goals from the 2011/2012 campaign plus extended highlights of the historic 4-0 win over Coventry, plus a bonus disc containing every strike from our promotion-winning year in League One.

A specially-created shirt printing concession located in the centre of WestQuay's lower floor proved incredibly popular as supporters added official Barclays Premier League badges plus names and numbers to their new shirts.

The queue for the new kit was maintained for much of the day, with fans continuing to buy their shirts right up to the centre's 5pm closing time.

Saints' all-white away outfit was also on show at WestQuay today, and will go on sale via our stores and online from Saturday 14th July.

If you haven't managed to get your hands on a 2012/13 home kit yet, you will have an extra chance to do so from tomorrow when the newly-refurbished Saints Megastore at St Mary's opens its doors.

Like our WestQuay store, the Megastore will be fully-stocked with the 2012/13 kit plus the new season's teamwear when it opens at 9am tomorrow.

And remember: you can also order your new kit via our online store right now.
