FULL TIME: Southampton 0-0 West Ham
It's all over at St Mary's and it's back-to-back stalemates for Saints in a game that neither team did enough to win. Saints had the ball in the net early on, but Danny Ings's goal was chalked off for offside, before Alex McCarthy rescued his team with a superb late save to deny Saïd Benrahma and preserve a point.

We're into stoppage time.
What a save from McCarthy!
That's a crucial stop from the keeper! Saints make a little bit of a mess of clearing their lines and Benrahma looks set to pounce, but McCarthy dives at his feet and makes a brilliant point-blank stop.
Yellow Card for Kyle Walker-Peters (Southampton)
A foul on Haller earns the right-back a caution.
No way through ⛔️
We're into the final 15 minutes at St Mary's...
Yellow Card for Moussa Djenepo (Southampton)
A trip from Djenepo leads to a booking for the winger.
Fabianski saves from Walker-Peters
Saints are pushing, and Walcott threatens to open the scoring only to be brushed off the ball, which falls kindly for Walker-Peters, but it's not a clean connection on his left foot and Fabianski makes a routine save.
Yellow Card for Andriy Yarmolenko (West Ham United)
The winger is the first player to go into the book this evening.
Walcott denied by Fabianski
That's a much better effort from the winger, who tries his luck from 25 yards, but Fabianski smothers it with a smart save low to his right.
Wild from Benrahma
The substitute is straight into the action, chesting the ball up for himself to volley, but it's nowhere near the target.
Saints applying pressure
It's been a really sustained spell of possession deep in the West Ham half, as Saints probe for an opening, and eventually the ball is cut back for Romeu who skies his shot.
West Ham looking sharper
The visitors were passive in the first half, but seem to have woken up since the interval. Yarmolenko tries jinking inside on to his stronger left foot, but Romeu reads his intentions.
The second half is under way
We're back up and running at St Mary's. Come on you Saints!
HALF-TIME: Southampton 0-0 West Ham
That's the end of a first half that won't live long in the memory. Saints have bossed the possession, but clear-cut chances have remained at a premium at both ends. Danny Ings did have the ball in the net on his return to the side, only for strike partner Ché Adams to be ruled offside in the act of providing the assist.
1️⃣ added minute...
We're into first-half stoppage time.
Free-kick in JWP territory...
That was a chance, by Ward-Prowse's standards, but the ball was very close to the edge of the penalty area, and the skipper sends his free-kick over the top.
Fredericks threatens an opener
Finally a West Ham chance, and it's a good one. Fornals heads the ball back across goal for Fredericks, who is only four yards out, but there's no pace on the ball and he can't generate the power to beat McCarthy, who saves his header comfortably.
Yellow Card for Ryan Bertrand (Southampton)
Yarmolenko tricks his way past Bertrand, who slides in and brings him down. West Ham have a free-kick in a crossing position, but Saints clear.
Bertrand fires over
Ward-Prowse's corner is kept alive by Bednarek, who lays the ball back for Bertrand to strike, but it rises high into the stand behind the West Ham goal.
Cheeky from Ings!
That's much better from Saints! Walcott crosses low from the right but it's slightly behind Ings, who improvises to backheel the ball goalwards, but Fabianski is alert to smother the danger.
Not much to report here...
Just reassuring you the wi-fi is working, but there's not been too much action down on the pitch. Saints continue to control the possession, but need to move the ball a little bit quicker to break down West Ham's solid-looking backline.
No breakthrough yet...
Saints have certainly been the team in the ascendancy, but clear-cut chances have been at a premium so far. West Ham have been virtually non-existent as an attacking force.
Saints still on top
It's been one-way traffic so far, as Saints force a couple of corners to add to their early possession, but goalkeeper Fabianksi has gone largely untroubled so far.
Walcott shoots wide
This has been a really positive start from Saints. Walcott drives forward and tries his luck from 20 yards, but he drags a low shot wide of the target.
Ings scores... but the flag is up 😤
It's another late flag that halts Adams in his tracks - this time after he runs in behind the West Ham defence and picks out Ings, who skips away from his man in the box and finishes with ease, but his strike partner definitely strayed offside.
Adams flagged offside
A bright start from Saints, as Romeu drives into West Ham territory and feeds Adams, who shoots straight at Fabianski, but the flag was raised in any case.

15.33Hasenhüttl to manage game remotely
Ralph Hasenhüttl will not be in the dugout for this evening's game. A member of Ralph's household tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday, and in keeping with the club's usual protocols and government guidance, Ralph is currently self-isolating whilst we assess the situation further. Ralph will manage the game from home and remain in contact with the team and coaching staff via a video link.
15.04One of McCarthy's best? 🤩
It was in December 2019 that Saints last hosted West Ham, on a night when Alex McCarthy pulled out this incredible save!
14.3514.27we have never won against them (west ham) so far and never taken points, so we have to do it better than we have in the past. we have to be concentrated for this tough game, find the right players to choose and hopefully we can cause them some issues."
