Understandably, West Ham are happy to sit back for the final 10 minutes, as Saints struggle to find a way past their resolute looking defence.

Armstrong's whipped in cross is importantly headed out for a corner by Ogbonna.

Saints have now gone three at the back, with Ward-Prowse and Bertrand operating as wing-backs.
Bertrand goes for goal
Ward-Prowse's deep free-kick is only partially cleared, but Bertrand's low shot from 20 yards is an easy one to take for Fabianski.

Antonio superbly denied
Haller chips a ball over the top for Antonio to run onto, but he's denied a second of the afternoon by a superb McCarthy stop, who diverts the ball for a corner.

Saints continue to dominate possession, seeing 65% of the ball, but Fabianski is still yet to be tested in the second half.

It's route one, but it's effective. A long ball is flicked on by Haller to Fornals, who loops a ball over the top for Antonio to blast past McCarthy.

Fornals wriggles into some space on the left, but after cutting in onto his preferred right foot, he can only fire a tame shot at McCarthy.

Haller rises with McCarthy to challenge for Antonio's high cross, and after beating the Saints stopper to the ball, he taps home after the ball dropped at his feet.

What a finish from Obafemi! Armstrong finds Ward-Prowse on the overlap and his low ball finds the Saints striker 12 yards out, who brilliantly flicks the ball over Fabianski to restore parity!

Bertrand's high cross finds Armstrong at the back post, but his attempt to loop the ball back into the box lands on the roof of the net.

Bertrand's corner flies all the way through to Højbjerg at the back post, but his shot is blocked by Fornals.

Ward-Prowse's free-kick delivery is good, but Diop heads over his own bar to concede a third corner of the match.

Højbjerg is brought down 30 yards from goal, giving Saints the chance to bring up Stephens and Bednarek from the back.

Clearly full of confidence after opening the scoring, Bowen goes for goal from 20 yards but it's a timid effort and an easy one for McCarthy to collect.
