Saints By Your Side

Saints By Your Side

One in four of us is affected by a mental health problem in any year and many more of us know and care for people who do. If you imagine a packed St Mary’s on a matchday, one in four equates to just over the entire Chapel Stand.

As part of the club's sustainability strategy, The Halo Effect, the club is committed to supporting it's local community by raising awareness of mental health issues. So we've teamed up with Solent NHS Trust to help get our fans talking about their mental health and wellbeing.

With the number of people reporting mental health problems on the rise, we launched Saints By Your Side to encourage more Saints fans to get talking and look after their mental health.

Working in partnership with Solent NHS Trust to kick-start the conversation, we want to give our fans the resources they need to talk openly and provide useful tips on how to improve their mental wellbeing

Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged 20-49 in England and Wales – if we talked about mental health as much as we talk about football, we can take steps to look out for ourselves and each other. So, let us tackle the stigma surrounding mental health together. We know that you care for your loved ones as much as you care about your team - together we can save lives.
