This year’s Play at St Mary’s event, supported by Headline Partner Barratt Homes, has raised over £14k for our work.

Businesses from across Southampton and beyond put in teams for our charity tournament, which returned to the hallowed turf at St Mary’s last week for the first time since 2021.

Thanks to their generous donations, entries to our raffle and the huge support of our Headline Partner Barratt Homes, the event raised a massive £14,000 – vital funds that will help us sustain and build our work for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

We’d also like to thank our valued corporate patron Meachers Global Logistics, who transported the tournament’s goals from Staplewood Training Ground to St Mary’s.

For the first time ever, Play at St Mary’s included a Women’s tournament, with 5 teams battling it out to be named the inaugural champions of the competition. It was the team from Hampshire FA who took home the title, with a team from Barratt Homes coming top of the 14 teams competing in the Men’s tournament.

Saints Foundation ambassador Franny Benali was on hand to present the trophies, which were followed by well-deserved sausage rolls and drinks in the Gasworks for the competitors.
