The unbeaten start to 2024 came to an end for Marieanne Spacey-Cale's side in midweek, when their Conti Cup campaign was ended in the group stages after defeat against WSL side Tottenham.

Saints suffered a 3-0 defeat at the Silverlake Stadium, but will return to league action looking to continue on from victory over Watford last weekend.

Sophia Pharoah's brace and Megan Collett's first St Mary's goal earned a 3-0 win over the Hornets that leaves Saints in fourth place in the table.

Sheffield United sit in eighth in the table, with a gap between the sides fighting at either end of the division.

They have suffered three consecutive away defeats since the return to action in 2024, losing to Tottenham in the FA Cup, Sunderland in the league, and Blackburn in the Conti Cup.

LAST MEETING

Earlier this season, Saints were victorious at St Mary's Stadium in a league clash that was decided in little over 20 minutes.

Sophia Pharoah opened the scoring before Jodie Hutton equalised shortly after, but an even quicker response from Katie Wilkinson put Saints back in the lead in the 21st minute with what turned out to be the match-winner.
