Women's Abbie Ferguson sidelined with shoulder injury
Southampton FC Women’s Head Coach Simon Parker revealed that winger Abbie Ferguson will be unavailable for "a number of weeks" in his latest team news update.
Speaking ahead of Sunday's return to St Mary's Stadium to face Crystal Palace in the Barclays WSL2, Parker confirmed the details of his side's only new absentee.
Saints' Scottish winger didn't travel to last week's match against Sunderland after suffering a shoulder injury in the build up to the game, as her road to recovery is now firmly underway.
"She's got a shoulder injury, and a concussion actually, so she's going to be out for a number of weeks but hopefully it's not too long." Parker said.
"Abbie was missed [at Sunderland], she's a good player and can really impact the game with what she brings so hopefully it won't be too long without her."
For the remainder of the squad, the task at hand will be be bouncing back against the Eagles back in front of home support in the first of two big league games to kick off Saints' February fixtures.
Tickets for Sunday's clash with Crystal Palace are still available, with prices at just £10 for Adults and £4 for Juniors.
