Women set for Saints Foundation matchday against Newcastle
Southampton FC Women will host their annual Saints Foundation charity matchday this Sunday, as they face Newcastle United in the Barclays Women's Super League 2 at St Mary's Stadium.
On the pitch, Simon Parker's side come into the game with momentum building after a statement home win over Crystal Palace last weekend.
However, this weekend's fixture, on Sunday 8th February (2pm KO), will be more than a matchday as Saints Foundation take over to help raise awareness for the fantastic work they do in the local community.
Our Foundation staff and participants will be present around the ground all day, with pre-match activations at the Saints Foundation kiosk joining our usual build-up atmosphere.
Supporters will have a chance to win a signed home shirt by the Women's First Team in a raffle on the day, with all the proceeds from entries going to Saints Foundation.
Also, you can catch pre-match interviews with Head of Women's and Girls' Football Marieanne Spacey-Cale, Saints Foundation Managing Director Sam Fulling, and one our our participants both in The Dell and by the pitch in the countdown to kick-off.
Before the action on the pitch begins in a big Barclays WSL2 clash, the teams will walk out with flag bearers and mascots made up of Saints Foundation participants as well.
Tickets are available at just £10 for Adults and £4 for Under-18s, as we aim for another strong crowd to get behind our Women's team on the pitch and celebrate Saints Foundation off the pitch.
