Southampton’s Under-12s reached the semi-finals of the MICFootball tournament, an international youth competition held in Spain.

The youngsters enjoyed a trip to Girona over the Easter holidays to compete in the youth tournament, with over 400 teams across various age groups in action.

Saints shone from the start in their group stages, with high-scoring victories over Team ISL (USA), Soccer+ Guadeloupe (France), and CF Global Palamós (Spain).

They advanced to the knockout stages, where further impressive displays saw them beat PSI Soccer Academy (USA) 12-3, and Martorell CF (Spain) 10-2 to reach the quarter-finals.

A thrilling clash with French giants PSG followed, as Saints took the lead through Luca Lask and earned a deserved 4-3 victory thanks to a second-half hat-trick from Austin Miles.

The performances of goalkeeper Riley James also stood out, as he earned a place in the Team of the Tournament.

Their journey ended in the semi-finals with defeat against the eventual winners, Espanyol, but the young squad enjoyed a positive tournament against some of the world's best youth academies.
