It's a second meeting in as many weeks between Saints and Reading this weekend as the Under-18s Premier League season draws to a close.

Last-time-out Saints faced a resilient West Ham team away from home, eventually suffering an unfortunate 3-2 defeat.

West Ham took a 2-0 lead inside the first half an hour, but that lead was quickly halved thanks to Kami Doyle's 32nd minute goal.

Despite the Hammers retaking their two goal margin just shy of the hour mark Saints remained in the game, scoring their second twenty minutes from time thanks to Fedel Ross-Lang but unable to find an equaliser.

Reading also faced a difficult London-based test in their last outing, losing 6-1 at Arsenal on Tuesday.

LAST MEETING

Saints came away from Reading with three points following an eventual afternoon at the end of April.

Both sides scored in the opening five minutes, Jahmari Clarke grabbing the opener for the Royals on two minutes before Jem Hewlett equalised just three minutes later.

Saints went on to turn the screw; Ross-Lang getting his first of the afternoon before Ramello Mitchell made it 3-1 20 minutes from time.

Reading hit back with Hamid Abdul-Salam on 75 minutes, before Ross-Lang’s second of the afternoon made sure of the victory three minutes from time.
