After playing 120 minutes of a thrilling FA Youth Cup tie last weekend, the young Saints resume their league campaign in their penultimate game before Christmas.

A strong side was fielded for the 3-2 win over Coventry City as Dom Ballard scored a hat-trick, which included the last gasp winner in extra time to see his side advance.

The win sees the Under-18s extend their good spell of form to six games unbeaten in all competitions.

With the B team's scheduled Premier League Cup game on Saturday postponed, there may be a chance that a similarly strong side steps out at Staplewood to face the Canaries.

Norwich are currently level on points with Saints in the league table, but find themselves two places lower on goal difference.

With nine points from nine league games, Greg Crane's side are in 10th position and winless in five matches after suffering back-to-back 3-0 defeats away from home.

In the 2021/22 edition of this fixture, the eventual title-winning Saints side were on top form and came away with a 5-0 win when Norwich visited Staplewood.

Matt Carson, Dom Ballard, Rylee Wright, Jem Hewlett, and Jimmy-Jay Morgan were all on the scoresheet in a five-star performance.
