Saints’ youngsters are looking to make it four on the bounce in the Under 18 Premier League this season as they host Arsenal at Staplewood Campus.

With a break in action over the past couple of weeks, Saints will be hoping to build on their recent run of form, including an impressive 3-1 victory on the road at West Ham.

The two sides have met three times since the start of 2020, once in the FA Youth Cup and twice in the league.

The most recent of meetings resulted in a 2-2 draw at Snows Stadium, with Luke Pearce the star of the show for Saints as he bagged himself a brace.

Saints’ Under 18’s individual coach, Mikey Harris, remains pleased with the sides positive start to the campaign: “The boys have started the season really positively both in terms of performances and results.

“We still think we can improve as a group and I think the lads believe that. they’ve been working really hard in training.

“Obviously we’ve got another really tough challenge against a really strong Arsenal team. Again that’ll be a really good gage of whether we can consistently perform at the levels we have done at the start of the season.

“It’s a game we’re obviously really looking forward to and hopefully we can continue with those positive performances.”
