Southampton FC is pleased to announce that they have been awarded a licence to operate a new Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre.

With the FA recently unveiling plans to grow its existing women’s football talent programme, the club is delighted to have been chosen to run one of the newly created Emerging Talent Centres (ETC).

The new Southampton FC ETC will be aimed at girls in the U10 to U12 age bracket, and will run for 30 weeks, with the free-of-charge sessions split into blocks of 10 weeks.

The ETC will form part of the Girls’ and Women’s Player Pathway with capable players able to make the step up from the U12 ETC into the Regional Talent Centre which feeds into the RTC Academy and Women’s first team.

Training will take place at Goals Southampton on Tuesday evenings between 5.00pm – 6.30pm, or indoors at Testwood School at 5.00pm – 6.45pm on Wednesday evenings.

Ahead of the launch of the programme, Saints will be running talent ID sessions on Wednesday 17th August at Test Park for interested players.

Following the talent ID session, selected players will be invited to attend the ETC. All players, successful or not in joining the ETC, will be offered a place at the invitation only Player Development Programme or open access Skills Centres, both run by Southampton FC.
