Rafferty receives Northern Ireland call-up
Southampton FC Women's Laura Rafferty has received a call-up to the Northern Ireland camp ahead of World Cup qualifying.
Laura Rafferty appeared for Northern Ireland during the record-breaking UEFA Women’s EURO 2022, in which Kenny Shiels' side scored their first ever major international tournament goal.
Rafferty will look to help her side make more history as they take on Luxembourg and Latvia in a bid to secure a place in the Women’s World Cup hosted in Australia and New Zealand.
Northern Ireland currently sit third in Group D, behind England and Austria, with Luxembourg, North Macedonia and Latvia below them.
Rafferty will join up with the squad at the end of August, ahead of the fixtures against Luxembourg on Friday 2nd September and Latvia on Tuesday 6th September.
