Ellie Brazil earns WSL2 Player of the Month nomination
Southampton FC Women's Ellie Brazil has been shortlisted for the Barclays Women's Super League 2's February Player of the Month.
With four goals in three games across the month, including a milestone first career hat-trick, Saints' striker earns a thoroughly deserved award nomination.
Brazil starred in front of goal against Crystal Palace at the start of the month, hitting a hat-trick to earn an impressive 3-1 win at St Mary's Stadium on a night to remember for both the striker individually and for the team as a whole.
She backed that up two weeks later against Bristol City with an all-important late goal to seal a 2-0 win at Ashton Gate.
This is Saints’ fourth monthly player nomination of the season, as Brazil makes the shortlist for the first time this campaign.
The rest of the February shortlist consists of Ashleigh Weerden (Crystal Palace), Lucy Fitzgerald (Charlton), and Sophie Peskett (Ipswich Town).
