Ellie Brazil earns second February Player of the Month nomination
Southampton FC Women's Ellie Brazil has been shortlisted for the PFA Fans' Barclays Women's Super League 2 February Player of the Month.
It is the in-form striker's second monthly nomination for February, after she was shortlisted for the WSL2's league award as well.
With four goals in three games across the month, including a milestone first career hat-trick, Saints' striker could be presented with two trophies based on supporter votes.
Brazil starred in front of goal against Crystal Palace at the start of the month, hitting a hat-trick to earn an impressive 3-1 win at St Mary's Stadium on a night to remember for both the striker individually and for the team as a whole.
She backed that up two weeks later against Bristol City with an all-important late goal to seal a 2-0 win at Ashton Gate.
The rest of the February shortlist consists of Lucy Fitzgerald and Jodie Hutton (both Charlton), Emily Murphy (Newcastle), Sophie Peskett (Ipswich), and Ashleigh Weerden (Crystal Palace).
