Coaches of Tomorrow proves a success
In partnership with Starling Bank, we wanted to create a pathway for local women to get into football coaching and so we launched the Coaches of Tomorrow. Now at the end of the 15-week programme, 20 new female coaches have been supported into the beautiful game.
Over the 15 weeks, coaches were given support through the EE Playmaker Course, a funded place on the England Football Learning Introduction to Coaching course and 10 weeks of coaching development to grow their knowledge and experience.
The Coaches of Tomorrow sessions covered topics like academy session observations, coaching/playing philosophy, understanding your players, individual development plans, practice design and delivery of practices.
The two coaches who impressed us the most will now be selected and offered the chance to go on and do their UEFA C License Coaching Qualification, funded by the club and Starling Bank.
Thank you to Starling for helping to make this happen and congratulations to everyone who took part – we’re looking forward to seeing you take to the pitches and progress the game at grassroots level in Southampton.
We're excited to announce our work with Starling Bank will continue, with the renewal of our partnership through to 2025. Find out more about how we plan to continue empowering positive change within women's and girls' football here: Starling Bank Partnership Extended
