Applications open for new Fan Advisory Board
Southampton Football Club is pleased to announce that applications are now open for supporters wishing to join the club's new Fan Advisory Board (FAB).
The FAB plays an important role in strengthening the relationship between supporters and the club, providing a forum for fans to share feedback, ideas and perspectives on a wide range of issues affecting the supporter experience. We are currently looking to appoint eight individual supporter representatives who will sit alongside four supporter group representatives on the new Board.
Have your voice heard
Whether you've supported for decades or more recently joined the Saints family, the FAB is an opportunity to help represent fellow supporters and contribute to meaningful discussions with the club. We're keen to hear from supporters from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. Previous involvement in supporter groups, volunteering or formal engagement roles is not required. As a FAB member, you will:
Represent the views and experiences of supporters
Contribute to open and constructive dialogue with the club
Help ensure supporter feedback is heard and considered
Act as an ambassador for both the club and the Fan Advisory Board
What does the FAB discuss?
The FAB may be involved in conversations relating to:
Club strategy and long-term vision
Matchday and non-matchday supporter experience
Ticketing, access and accessibility
Fan engagement and supporter behaviour
Community activity and equality, diversity and inclusion
Club heritage matters
Environmental sustainability
Members will be expected to attend four meetings per season, engage with supporters outside of meetings and work collaboratively with fellow FAB members and Club representatives.
Who can apply?
Applicants must:
Be aged 18 or over
Have a MySaints account or supporter number
Be passionate about improving the supporter experience
Be willing to listen to and represent a broad range of supporter views
Take a constructive and solutions-focused approach
Southampton FC is committed to ensuring the Fan Advisory Board reflects the diversity of our supporter base and welcomes applications from supporters of all backgrounds.
Application and election process
Applications are open from 19th June until 5th July. To ensure a fair and transparent process, applications will be independently shortlisted by the Football Supporters' Association (FSA). Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to interview with a panel consisting of:
An independent FSA representative
A Club representative
An independent representative
Following interviews, supporters will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred candidates in an open election running from 26th August to 4th September. Successful candidates will be announced on 11th September.
