Southampton FC Women progressed in the Vitality Women's FA Cup with a dominating 11-0 win at Helston Athletic FC.
Rachel Panting was the star of the show with four goals in half-an-hour off the bench, with Shannon Sievwright, Ella Pusey and Alisha Ware contributing two of their own and Georgie Freeland adding a solitary effort to complete the scoring.
With kick-off slightly delayed by five minutes the action eventually got underway just after 1pm in Cornwall, with Saints making a couple of changes to the side that beat Exeter City 4-0.
Sara Luce came in for Kayla Rendell between the sticks, whilst Charley Evans and Shannon Albuery earned a starting place for this second-round qualifier.
It took just 14 minutes for Saints to break the deadlock; captain Sievwright notching her first of the game after the stubborn Helston defence had impressed during the opening stages.
The second came just 11 minutes later; Pusey continuing her rich goalscoring form this season her effort on the 25-minute mark.
A third came just past the half-hour point of the first half; Freeland, who likewise is enjoying a successful season in front of goal, making her mark on the afternoon.
Following the break the game suffered a lull as Helston began to see more of the ball and keep out Saints bravely.
But this all changed on the 60th minute, when half-time substitute Panting scored her first of the afternoon, closely followed by her second just two minutes later.
Another substitute, Ware, grabbed her first in the 70th minute, just over ten minutes after coming on for Albuery.
Pusey added her second on 74 minutes, before Panting completed her hat-trick with ten minutes to go.
In the final moments there was still time for Ware to grab her second in the 85th minute, alongside a fourth for Panting with two minutes left.
The afternoon was rounded off by Sievwright’s second of the day in the final minute, confirming a dominating afternoon for Marieanne Spacey-Cale’s side.
Saints return to league action next week, with a visit to Maidenhead United in the National League South West.
